Meet the Veterinarian
-Compassionate, experienced end-of-life care—provided gently in the comfort of your home.
Dr. Raquel Naquin is a proud local alumna of Teurlings Catholic High School and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (ULL). She completed her clinical year of veterinary school at Louisiana State University (LSU).
Raised on a small farm, Dr. Naquin developed a lifelong love for animals and a deep passion for compassionate care. After several years in general veterinary practice, she discovered her calling in caring for geriatric pets and supporting families through end-of-life decisions. She completed advanced training in end-of-life and palliative care through the Companion Animal Euthanasia Training Academy (CAETA) Master’s Program.
At the request of her clients, Dr. Naquin began offering in-home euthanasia services and quickly recognized the need for this gentle, peaceful option in Acadiana. She is honored to help families say goodbye in the comfort of their homes or yards, where pets feel safest and most at ease.
As a mother, Dr. Naquin has a special heart for children grieving the loss of a beloved pet. She is dedicated to helping families navigate this difficult time with compassion and provides thoughtful resources—including her Golden Paw Bag—to support children through the grieving process.
